Research Interests
My research interests lie broadly in understanding the origin and evolution of the earth's crust in relation to continental tectonics. To examine the physical and chemical processes during crustal evolution, my research focuses on the investigation of the pressure–temperature–time–deformation (P–T–t–d) history of high-grade metamorphic belts. My current research interests are focused in three broad areas: (1) unraveling polyphase high-grade metamorphism and anatexis in regional metamorphic terranes; (2) the physical and chemical processes of mass transfer within the crust leading to intracrustal differentiation during orogenesis; and (3) high temperature silicate-oxide phase equilibria to constrain conditions of metamorphism and tectonic evolution.
