Research Interests
My research interests are in understanding micron scale isotopic systematics. My current research is focused on measuring lead isotopes using a 213 nm Nd:Yag laser coupled with a Nu Plasma MC-ICP-MS. The questions and ideas I am addressing during my Ph.D. are: at what spatial and temporal scale are Pb-Pb heterogeneities prevalent in the lower crust?; how and under what time scale is ancient lower crust altered with younger events involving lithospheric mantle thinning and removal?; what controls the U, Th, and Pb distribution and behavior in feldspars?; and in-situ Pb-Pb geochronology of chondrites and achondrites.
