Permission to Enroll in Computer Science Courses

Required computer science courses are available for students enrolled in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, Mathematics Education, and the ENSP subprogram Environmental Mapping and Data Management.

Computer science courses are also available for students in other CMPS majors (i.e., GEOL and ENSP - Earth Surface Processes) on a request-basis. Send all requests to cmpsque@deans.umd.edu.

When a student needs to repeat a CMSC course s/he should be advised that they are enrolling in the course for the second and final time. Students should be encouraged to attend all classes and to take advantage of all resources available to support their success (e.g., Computer Science Undergraduate Teaching Assistants, TA and faculty office hours, etc).
