Born May 10, 1996, I live in Hopewell New Jersey. I went to High School at Hopewell Valley Central High, where I developed a fondness for all classes devoted to science. Now attending the University of Maryland, though undecided as to my major, I intend on majoring in one of the Biologies, preferable Neurobiology. Though I love the physical sciences such as Biology, Chemistry, and Astronomy, I have always been interested in many fields, most notably History, Philosophy, and World Religions.
While at the University of Maryland, I hope to broaden my academic horizons and learn not only how to be a student, but also how to be a professional. I look forward to future opportunities in conducting research, and also various community volunteer work. Enrolled in the Science and Global Change program of College Park Scholars, I look forward to truly understand what good science means versus pseudoscience, and how science is evolving and changing everyday.
In addition to academics, I have various hobbies, most notably playing guitar and piano and writing songs. I have written many blues, funk, and rock songs and find that allowing my creative side flourish helps me function in all aspects of live. I am also an avid sports fan, and though knee injuries have left me unable to participate in sports anymore, I enjoy watching football, baseball, and basketball. I love to analyze the complex strategy and statistics behind the games, and occasionally write in various sports blogs of my favorite New York teams.
