The Stable Isotope Laboratory is located in CHEM 0233 which is in the basement of the chemistry building on the University of Maryland Campus. Regular University of Maryland Buses run from College Park Metro Station to the Main Campus Circle. The College Park Metro station is on the Green line in the direction of greenbelt from downtown Washington DC. The University can also be reached by Car, taking the main entrance off of route 1 towards the Main Campus circle. The Chemistry Building is reached by taking the first right 1/4 way around the main circle, and it is the second building on the right hand side. There is a parking garage on the left hand side, but this requires special passes. We recommend taking a right hand turn on the crossroad just past the Chemistry building, following this road to its end, taking a left hand turn and following this road to the pay parking lot on the left. The Washington area has three airports. Reagan National and BWI are about 30-45 minutes away. Dulles is about 1 to 1.5 hours away depending on traffic. Reagan National Airport can be reached by metro. BWI can be reached by a BUS to Metro connection, cab, or shuttle. Dulles airport can be reached by Metro/Bus for a 2-2.5 hour trip or by cab or shuttle. |
