Family Photograph Archive

Enigmatic photographs:

In the last year, Betty Siegel and John Merck have begun scanning old family photographs and assembling a digital collection. Unfortunately, we are in possession of many old photos that we don't understand.

In the collections of both John's grandmother, Nettie Allgood, and Betty's parents, Marilyn and Ralph Siegel, are unidentifiable or cryptically labelled photographs from the 19th and early 20th centuries. It would be tragic to allow the personalities and stories behind these images to be forever lost when there is some chance of recovering them. Please take the time to look at these, especially if you belong to an older generation, and contact John or Betty if you can supply any illumination. We are particularly interested in:
