ESSENTIAL ITEMS
- 10 pts: All present (title, author, affiliation, contact, logos, acknowledgements)
- -2 pts for each missing item
LAYOUT
- 10 pts: Clear and intelligible
- 5 pts: Requires some scrutiny to decipher order of text
- 0 pts: Unclear
IMAGE QUALITY
- 10 pts: Clear and attractive
- 5 pts: Minor problems with pixilation, color balance, brightness, or contrast
- 0 pts: Major problems such as extreme pixilation or aspect ratio distortion
TEXT/FONT
- 10 pts: Clear and legible from 6 ft (1.8 m)
- 5 pts: Minor problems in legibility (e.g., color or font choice)
- 0 pts: Major problems in legibility (e.g., color/background conflicts; distracting background image, etc.)
TEXT CONTENT
- 10 pts: Clear and coherent
- 5 pts: Slightly confusing or missing some elements
- 0 pts: Major problems with content (e.g., factual errors, inconsistencies, etc.)
TEXT DEPTH
- 10 pts: Detailed description of a sound project
- 5 pts: Description &/or project noticeably thin or inappropriate to assignment
- 0 pts: Major problems with depth of project or write-up
IMAGE CONTENT
- 10 pts: Clear and appropriate
- 5 pts: Vague connection to text. Some images lack references or are not obviously public domain or property of author
- 0 pts: Inappropriate images or without attempt at proper attribution
REFERENCES (if necessary) AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
- 10 pts: Proper and complete
- 5 pts: Incomplete
- 0 pts: Absent
BASE POSTER GRADE = the sum of each of the above ratings (0 to 80 pts total).
Additions:
- Up to +10 for evidence of exceptional insight, design, or execution
