Tyler Drombosky successfully defended his thesis on April 4th, 2014. In his doctoral dissertation, Tyler developed a novel technique for modeling microstructure in deforming, partially molten rocks at the base of the Earth's tectonic plates. Tyler will move on to work at Luminal.

Scientific Visualization Workshop

Scientific visualization is an interactive, computer-based technique for analyzing and displaying four dimensional data. This workshop will provide hands-on training for high school science teachers on scientific visualization software. Participants will be provided with software and scientific data as teaching material for their high school Earth and Space Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and other science courses.

This workshop is organized through the Seminars for Teachers program. Workshop-related expenses, such as registration fee, course material, substitute teacher compensation, meal, and parking, will be covered. Contact me via e-mail or by phone if you are interested.
