Research Interests
My research interests are focused on using intra-seasonal tree-ring stable oxygen isotope (δ18O) and carbon isotope (δ13C) to reconstruct paleoclimate in the Asian Monsoon region. Specifically, I use mechanic forward model to identify the plant-related processes most likely to explain the observations. Furthermore, I try to elucidate the relationship between intra-seasonal tree-ring stable isotopes (δ18O and δ13C) and monsoon variation.
I am presently visiting the University of Maryland on a two year research program (from Dec. 2015 to Dec. 2017) to develop, simulate and interpret tree-ring stable isotopic data from northern boundary zone of the Asia summer monsoon.
