Comments: Funny story. This wild animal had been hanging out on the dock of a sea-kayaking outfitter for over a week. Apparantly he had been injured in a fight with another seal and had taken refuge on the dock, too weak to flee from the humans who came and went. During his recovery, he figured out that humans were harmless, so by the time we saw him, he was pretty fearless. If you got too close, he growled.
