Fox sparrow Passerella iliaca (?)

Location: Harding Ice-Field trail, near Seward, AK
Year: 2007
Merckslides catalogue number: 04-24426
Comments: I'm very uncertain about this identification. I encountered the bird at the top of the harding Ice-Field trail, on bare rock overlooking the ice field. The right wing was injured and I believe the "cere" is pathological. The bird was too exhausted to fly away from me. Alas, I never saw it from the front, so I can't confirm that its breast was streaked.
