Comments: This beach was visible from the Puu o Mahuka Heiau, an 18th century temple originally dedicated to Lono - god of agriculture - but later rededicated to Ku - god of war - by Kamehameha I. It is rumored that missing members of the crew of a British ship that stoped here to provision were sacrificed at the temple.
