 Part of the summer field season is spent explaining current research in Yosemite to rangers in order that they can more appropriately address questions to them from the public. |
Teaching in the Field
For about 10 years, with P. Candela and their students, they have spent time during their research stays training park service staff. Not only does the training enhance the ties of the researchers with the park and the public, but also provides invaluable interaction between the students and scientists and the public who have widely variable backgrounds. |
