The UMD Panorama Laboratory
(MDPanoLab)

Housed at the only public research university located within the beltway of the Nation’s Capital, the University of Maryland  Nu Instruments Panorama is only the second of its kind in the United States.

This instrument will be used to contribute to basic scientific understanding of how the world works and to address questions with direct relevance for policy decisions at regional, national, and global levels relating to the environment and climate. Our initial focus will be on applications related to the global methane cycle, to oxygen and 36S.

To this end, MDPanolab supports broad student and postdoctoral participation as well as visits from scientists in the US and abroad.
