A geophysical inversion provides information about rock properties of the subsurface which, integrated with other geological insight, can provide an image of the interior otherwise hidden. I’m interested in the internal structure of planets and moons. Specifically, I work on constraining density anomalies from global gravity measurements and using reversible Markov Chain Monte Carlo algorithms that allow us to avoid making strong assumptions about the number of position of the density anomalies.
