The focus of my research is to use seismology to characterize the variations of elastic properties in the crust and mantle lithosphere across the California Continental Borderland and Pacific-North American plate boundary. I will also be quantifying and analyzing the differences between oceanic and continental lithosphere-asthenosphere boundaries. I hope to contribute to a better understanding of the differences between the formation of continental and oceanic tectonic plates.
