- Anant Hariharan, Summer 2017: Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology summer intern from Cornell University. Anant applied spherical wavelet analysis to multi-scale tomographic model comparison with the goal of identifying lengthscale(s) at which structures imaged by high-frequency travel-time P-wave tomography (which has variable resolution) are compatible with global long period S-wave tomography. He was co-mentored by Dr. Moulik, who is a postdoctoral researcher in my lab. He completed his Ph.D. at Brown University working with Prof. Colleen Dalton and a postdoc at the University of California, Santa Barbara with Prof. Zach Eilon
- Brittany Washington, Summer 2017: Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology summer intern from University of New Jersey at Newark. Brittany studied seismic signals from a high frequency ocean bottom array in Bransfield Strait, Antarctica, and was co-mentored by Prof. Nick Schmerr.
- Dakota Sparks (2017) — Senior Thesis: “Quantifying Differences in Turbulence Between Alluvial and Bedrock Streams Using Analyses of Seismic Noise” (co-advised with Dr. Prestegaard)
- Sutton Chiorini (2016) – Senior Thesis: “Swarm-like seismicity in Northern California” — Sutton received her M.S. from the Miami University of Ohio with Prof. Mike Brudzinski
- Jonathan Guandique (Summer 2015) – Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology summer intern from Fort Valley State University. He graduated from Penn State University and completed a Master’s program at Maryland with Prof. Nick Schmerr.
- Brendan Lockhart, (2012 – 2014) — Brendan worked on several MATLAB-based seismic analysis projects and has, after graduating, become a successful entrepreneur.
- Jesse M. Kolb (2012-2013) — Jesse worked on transdimensional deconvolution, and first-authored a paper published in GJI (Kolb and Lekic, 2014). After graduating from Maryland, Jesse completed a Master’s degree in exploration seismology at the University of Calgary (CREWES) with Prof. Kris Innanen.
