My research involves using active-source seismology to characterize an englacial aquifer located in the Helheim Glacier on the southeast coast of Greenland. By inverting the P-waves, S-waves, and surface waves, we can retrieve a velocity structure of the aquifer to quantify the dimensions of the aquifer and the porosity of the ice to determine how much water the aquifer currently holds.
